The wings of the car do not open horizontally, but vertically, which seems somewhat exotic and convenient to some.

Step 1
First you need to draw up or purchase a drawing of the opening mechanism yourself. It is necessary to take into account the material of the device, which will not allow the doors to swing. Purchase two gas shock absorbers for the door, which will take into account the weight of the entire structure. Drawings can be ordered from tuning companies or from the appropriate specialists.
Step 2
Make the required components. The best way to do this would be to contact a milling machine operator and a turner who are capable of completing the task.
Step 3
Prepare the installation site. Remove the front fenders to access the A-pillar. Choose a place so that the door can close tightly and fit well to the seals without any distortions. Please note that the door must also close horizontally. The mechanism should not cling to the car body and trim. Try to avoid loss of body rigidity. If necessary, you will have to strengthen it by welding the appropriate spacers and fasteners.
Step 4
Assemble the mechanism according to the drawing. Mark the mounting location and fix the mechanism to the door and body. This is best done by welding, although bolts are often used for fixing, but this is not so reliable. Attach the mechanism horizontally, at the level of the rack mount. Attach the movable arm to the door.
Step 5
Close the door by holding it at a fixed level. Secure the base of the structure to the A-pillar.
Step 6
Adjust the door opening angle with bolts, install shock absorbers. Choose a place for their installation yourself, but they should not be stretched to the end in the open state and should not interfere with each other.
