Acoustics in a modern car is very important. Typically, drivers install a car radio and two speakers back. But special connoisseurs of music prefer to cut the speakers into the front doors as well. This increases the overall sound volume and allows you to fully enjoy your music. Installing speakers in the front doors is not easy and requires patience and skill.
It is necessary
- - Pancake columns;
- - drill;
- - jigsaw;
- - insulating tape;
- - self-tapping screws.
Instructions
Step 1
Disassemble the front door panel. To do this, unscrew the inner door handles and remove the panel. It is attached with clips. The best place to place your speakers is on the bottom right side. In this place, the speaker will not interfere with door elements such as glass, door locks, door openers. But you can install the door anywhere you want.
Step 2
Saw out a hole for the speaker. This must be done with a jigsaw for metal. The hole should be a few millimeters narrower than the speaker diameter. This is necessary in order for the column to fit tightly into the hole. Thus, an independent fixation of the speaker in the door is created. Saw a hole in the door panel immediately. Before doing this, mark the panel correctly, otherwise the holes will not converge.
Step 3
Make a speaker mount. This is the most important part of the job. Mark the location of the future speaker appropriately. You need to fix it with plates that will be screwed to the door with self-tapping screws. The same screws will attach the speaker to the plates. You need to choose the exact size of the plates, otherwise the speaker will bulge out strongly. There should be four such plates. Each of them is fixed in its own corner. You can also cut a ring out of plywood and insert it into the cut hole and fix it with glue, then install the speaker in this ring and fix it with self-tapping screws.
Step 4
Drill a small hole in the inside of the door where the hinges are. Next, drill another hole opposite the first. Here you need to stretch the wires from the radio to the speakers. Hide them under the panel while pulling. At the junction between the two holes in the door, put a PVC tube over the wire. This will prevent the wires from being cut into the sharp edges of the drilled holes and shorted further. Connect the speaker and assemble the panel. Insulate exposed areas with electrical tape when connecting. Otherwise, you cannot avoid a short circuit.
