Almost every car owner cares about making trips by his own car as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Listening to your favorite music helps you not get bored on a long trip. However, most factory cars are sold either without a radio and speakers, or they are, but of very low quality. Therefore, the question arises about installing a good audio system. How to install car speakers yourself?
It is necessary
Speakers, wiring, screwdriver, sealant, gaskets
Instructions
Step 1
To install any car speakers, podiums are needed - special recesses with holes in the door trim. In most modern cars, they are provided in the design of the factory. Therefore, before buying speakers, you need to know the diameter of your podiums. You will also need sealant and gaskets. These things will allow you to get rid of the rattle and enjoy listening to your favorite music as much as possible. Read the manual for your car. Very often, the manufacturer specifies detailed instructions for installing an audio system in it.
Step 2
Take care in advance about the place where you will install the speakers. If it is summer with dry weather outside, then the area in front of the house may well be suitable. But still it is worth playing it safe, as a sudden onset of rain can be a big hindrance to you. A garage is best suited for this purpose. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
Open the hood and remove the negative terminal from the battery to avoid a short circuit in the vehicle's on-board power supply system. Open the door as far as possible where you will install the speaker. Now you need to check if your car has audio preparation. That is, are the wires laid.
Step 3
Factory wiring usually leaves a lot to be desired, so a new one is recommended. To do this, you will have to remove the torpedo and door trim. Inside, the wires must be pulled into a tight bundle and fastened to any fixed parts. When routing bundles through openings in doors, use rubber gaskets to prevent damage to the integrity of the wire sheath. Leave the required supply of wire between the car body and the door.
After that, you need to attach the ends of the wires to the speakers with special fasteners, or solder them. Now you need to glue the speaker into the podium. To do this, apply a layer of sealant to the edges of the podium, place a spacer, apply another coat of sealant, and insert the speaker into the socket. Press it down firmly. Let the dynamics grab hold. Attach the protection on top. Usually it is attached with self-tapping screws. Reinstall the door trim. Install all speakers in this way.
