Their potential, in many respects, coincides with the capabilities of a PC. As a rule, they are "stitched" by Windows or Linux operating systems. This allows you to fully use the capabilities of the multimedia player (listen to music, view photos and video files).
It is generally accepted that high-quality computer systems are already installed in expensive foreign cars. But gadget manufacturers don't forget the rest. Car owners can purchase and install ABK even on their domestic cars or affordable foreign cars. There are two types of car computers: model and universal. The first type of ABK is capable of working with the protocols of vehicles of only specific modifications. And, in addition, in the design they have features that prevent their installation on cars of other brands. The on-board computer of the second type is suitable for almost all models, both modern and earlier. In the case of installing a universal on-board computer, you only need to select the appropriate software.
Some car owners think that an on-board computer is an unnecessary luxury that has no practical significance. Naturally, calculations can be carried out on a calculator, and the quality of the engine can be determined by ear. But we must remember that the 21st century is outside and “comfort in everything” is one of the priorities of our time.
