The starter is rightfully considered one of the most reliable devices in the VAZ 2108 car. But, since nothing eternal has yet been invented, this equipment sometimes fails. And sooner or later, but before the owner of the car, the question arises of removing the starter from the engine.
It is necessary
- 13 mm box spanner,
- socket wrench 10 mm,
- crank.
Instructions
Step 1
Any procedure for dismantling automotive electrical equipment begins with de-energizing the on-board network by disconnecting the ground cable from the battery.
Then disconnect all wires and cables connected to the starter and to the solenoid relay located above the starter and making up a single whole of this device.
Step 2
Further, it is necessary to remove the engine sump protection from the bottom of the car, after which access is opened for unscrewing the two starter mounting nuts with a 13 mm wrench.
Step 3
Having finished the work at the bottom, another similar nut is unscrewed from above, and the electrical equipment part is successfully dismantled.
Installation and installation of the starter is carried out in the reverse order.
