An oil pressure sensor and a device that shows this parameter are indispensable in a car. They will warn you in advance about any problems with your car, which will help prevent troubles on the road. Some machines do not have such a sensor, so you need to connect it yourself.

Instructions

Step 1

Buy a tee to which the sensor itself will be connected directly. Now think about where you can put the device itself. It should fit well into the dashboard and be in sight. For this, the place where the clock or voltmeter is located is suitable.

Step 2

Compare the diameters of the device and the location of the proposed installation. The diameter of the watch is larger than necessary, so disassemble the watch: remove the bezel and file the edges with a file. Take the O-ring and slide the instrument into place.

Step 3

Open the hood and use a wrench to unscrew the oil pressure warning lamp sensor. It is easy to find: a black and gray wire is attached to it. Screw the tee in its place, do not forget to put the copper o-ring. Now connect the pressure sensor and the control lamp sensor directly to the tee itself.

Step 4

Start the engine, bring it to 4000 rpm. If everything is sealed and there are no abnormalities, then connect the gray wire that goes from the test lamp sensor to your new sensor. Also connect the black and gray wire to it using the "female" terminal.

Step 5

Route this wire into the passenger compartment using any suitable opening. Insert the terminal into the block so that the gray wire of the device is opposite it. Open the fuse box, locate the circuit to be disconnected and run the orange wire to the instrument. Install the terminal in the block opposite the orange wire. Take the white wire from the side lights power supply.

Step 6

Connect the white and black wire to the ground by installing the terminal and pushing it into the block. Replace all parts and start the engine. If everything works, then carefully pull all the wires to the hole where the device will be mounted, remove all excess, tighten the wires with clamps and install the device itself.
