Step 1
Examine the vehicle's documentation. The model, basic characteristics and year of manufacture of the car must be indicated in the accompanying papers for the vehicle.

After 2009, the date of manufacture is again indicated by a Latin letter.

Refer to the resources of the Internet if you are unable to decode the VIN code yourself. Rewrite the identification number and find one of the sites where you can decrypt the information encoded in it. You can use the resources of vinfact.com or vinexpert.ru. However, when determining the year of manufacture of a car by VIN, it should be remembered that the year of launch in production of a certain model and the release of a particular car may not coincide.
Step 6
Find out the release dates for the various vehicle parts. Find the engine number by which you can determine the date of its production. The body number can also be used for the same purpose. In the corner of the windshield, there is usually a manufacturer's sticker with a number, the last two digits of which indicate the year of manufacture.
