Step 1
The simplest "old-fashioned" way is to set fire to a newspaper or a piece of paper and bring it to the lock cylinder. The method works quickly and efficiently, but not 100%. It is possible that condensation forms in the lock, i.e. before you have time to open it, it will freeze again, and even worse than before.
Step 2
If you have anti-freeze, antifreeze or alcohol at hand, just pour the liquid into the keyhole. If there is no liquid, go to the nearest garages, for sure someone will find it.
Step 3
An interesting way came up with resourceful motorists. You drive up in a car so that the warm air from the exhaust pipe goes directly to the lock and you turn on the gas harder. Only here it is necessary to take into account the direction of the wind. But, unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to turn around like that in the garage "patch".
Step 4
In car stores, you can purchase a special product that must be poured into the keyhole. In 2-3 minutes it will dissolve the ice, and the lock will open without difficulty. In winter, this product should always be carried with you, as it is also suitable for car locks, which often “freeze” after washing.
Step 5
If you have a lighter or matches with you, you can use them to heat the key harder. This method is quite convenient, but it doesn't always work the first time. It may take 3-5 times for the lock to finally open.
