In the case when it is impossible or highly undesirable to transport a motorcycle on its own, there are several ways to transport a motorcycle. The choice of the method depends on many factors: the presence of the need to transport it frequently, the financial availability of the method, the desired safety of the motorcycle, and others.

Step 1
The most affordable and common way is to use the services of cargo taxis. If you plan to transport your motorcycle over a long distance, it is important to find a responsible contractor. And you need to start looking for this in advance. Important: the carrier must have all the necessary documents. A closed van or a specialized motorcycle tow truck can act as a vehicle transporting a motorcycle. In both cases, the motorcycle will be reliably insured against damage during transportation. Check how the motorcycle will be secured inside the van. The mount should securely hold the bike in place and prevent it from moving inside the van. A specialized motorcycle tow truck is already equipped with all the necessary means for fastening any motorcycle.
Step 2
If you need to transport a motorcycle by rail or sea, specialized containers are used. Enterprises and organizations have such containers, which, due to the nature of their activities, need to deliver motorcycles in consignments from abroad. Also, such a container can be provided by a shipping company for transportation by rail or water.
Step 3
If circumstances dictate the need for frequent transport of the motorcycle (for example, for motor sportsmen), it makes sense to purchase a specialized trailer for transporting a motorcycle. Modern trailers have a plastic body that protects the transported motorcycle, are easy and predictable in handling, have a minimum loading height and an anti-slip ladder, an adjustable roof and an internal fastening system.
Step 4
Non-standard transportation The rules prohibit towing the motorcycle in any way. However, this can be done by attaching the motorcycle to the towbar of the vehicle. At the same time, the towbar must be modified so that it is possible to tow the motorcycle with the front wheel hanging and a rigidly fixed front fork.
It is also possible to transport the motorcycle on a traditional trailer, securely fastening with straps and placing boards under the wheels. The average trailer can hold two small jack bikes or one large motorcycle. A less convenient method is to transport the motorcycle in a passenger car. Obviously, the salon should be roomy enough. If the motorcycle does not retract, it can be partially disassembled by removing the front and rear wheels.
