Fans of fast driving quite often complain that their "iron horse" lacks the power of a standard motor. In view of this, sports exhaust systems are used. A special case of improving a motorcycle is the installation of a forward flow on it.

It is necessary

  • - impeller;
  • - keys;
  • - thin-walled stainless steel tube;
  • - mineral wool or glass wool;
  • - fire resistant material;
  • - sealant;
  • - drilling machine.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove the factory supplied muffler. This is easy to do: all you need to do is unscrew four bolts. After that, using the impeller, very carefully cut off the muffler cover that holds the inside, and pull out all the internal filling from the muffler.

Step 2

Replace the removed "filling" with a new one. Find a thin-walled stainless steel pipe, cut from this pipe a piece equal to the length of the muffler. Then use a drilling machine to drill many through holes in it.

Step 3

Install the drilled pipe inside the muffler, namely, in the place of the removed standard spare parts. Then fill tightly with glass wool between the pipe and the muffler sheath, as well as around the edges of this device. Wrap the flame arrester (also called corrugation) with asbestos or other heat-resistant material that is at hand.

Step 4

Fit a freshly made straight-through muffler and reinstall it. Then cover the muffler with the cover. It is recommended to lubricate the joints with sealants.

Step 5

After the procedure for installing the straight-through muffler is completed, test the operation of the retrofitted motorcycle. Get your "iron horse": in response, he should give you a bass sound. Although the sound of the motorcycle has changed slightly, its appearance has remained practically unchanged.
