In winter, car owners have to periodically leave their car in the cold for 2-3 hours, and sometimes for the whole day. Therefore, it becomes necessary to pre-warm the engine. To avoid unnecessary fuel consumption and engine cooling, it is necessary to insulate it.

Instructions
Step 1
Insulation of the VAZ 2107 engine can be carried out with improvised means. Take an old blanket or large piece of felt and just cover the engine on top. This method is not very effective, but it still helps to retain some of the heat.
Step 2
Of higher quality are special hood insulation. They are made for all cars, including the VAZ 2107. Ask around at the car markets of the city, and if you are lucky, you will get a good insulation. It is very easy to install, easily attaches to the hood and just as easy to remove.
Step 3
If you could not find a ready-made insulation on sale, contact special service centers. Here you will be offered two types of insulation - completely for the entire car or only for the engine compartment. If you are not going to additionally install noise and vibration isolation, then choose a simple hood insulation.
Step 4
It is best to retain the heat that rises from the engine upwards with a variety of foams. Buy foam rubber, which is covered with foil on one side. Place it under the hood. This material will retain warm air in its pores, and the foil will serve as an effective heat reflector. You cannot insulate the engine from below in this way, so partial heat loss will still occur. But your car will cool down much more slowly.
Step 5
Before starting the insulation, thoroughly clean the inside of the hood, wash it, then wipe it with degreasing agents, you can use gasoline. Let dry well.
Step 6
After that, make a pattern from the material with which you decided to insulate the VAZ 2107. Gently grease with glue and attach to the hood lid. Leave the lid open for a couple of hours until the glue is completely dry.
Step 7
To insulate the radiator, take a regular cardboard and insert it in front, having previously adjusted it to size. Special "muzzles", which are sold at car markets, look more aesthetic. Insulation of the radiator is especially effective when driving outside the city and when driving for a long time in frost.
