A procedure such as gluing a tint film on the glass of a car can be performed by a motorist himself. All that is needed is time, material, tools and, importantly, accuracy.
Necessary
- -toning film;
- -a plastic sticker to smooth out the film (if it is not included in the kit, then something to replace it);
- -shampoo or liquid soap;
- -hand spray;
- -knife;
- - means for washing glasses;
- -napkins;
- -water.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to cut a piece of tint film to fit the glass. To do this, spray the glass with water and apply a film to it so that the protective tinting film adheres slightly to the glass. A margin of about 7-10 mm should be left at the edges of the film. If the glass is sinking, then leave more.
Step 2
After making the blank, remove the film, and thoroughly wash the glass from the inside. Dissolve a little shampoo in water and pour it into a spray bottle. Now we spray all the glass, take the tint, and remove the protective film a little in any upper corner. A little shampoo solution should be applied to the place of delamination.
Step 3
Having glued this corner, we begin to remove the protective film, gently pulling it out from under the tint, but at the same time we also need to press the tint film to the glass. Do not rush - it will not stick right away, because the glue is neutralized with shampoo. The neutralization time is about 10-20 minutes.
Step 4
The protective film has now been removed and the tint film is slightly adhered to the glass. We adjust it and glue it.
We take a sticker or its substitute, and gently squeeze out the shampoo and air from under the film.
Step 5
Cut off the excess film around the edges so that it does not reach the edge of the glass for about a millimeter or two. The part of the film adjacent to the lower seal is slightly wound under this same seal. So, the tint film is glued on, and it will dry for about a day. At this time, try not to lower the windows and not turn on their heating.
