To improve the appearance of the car, as well as to protect the driver and passengers from ultraviolet rays and excessive heating of the interior, car windows are tinted. You can even tint your windshield at home.

Necessary

  • - tinting film;
  • - plastic sticker;
  • - shampoo;
  • - manual spray gun;
  • - water;
  • - stationery knife;
  • - napkins;
  • - means for washing glasses.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a "workplace". Tinting the front auto glass is necessary in a clean place: it is best to do it indoors.

Step 2

Cut the tint film to fit your windshield. To do this, moisten the front auto glass and apply a film to it so that the protective side of the tinting sticks to the glass. Next, trim the tint film, leaving a 5mm margin.

Step 3

After the blank is made, remove it from the glass, and thoroughly wash the surface of the windshield. Then prepare a solution (10% shampoo and 90% water) and pour it into a spray bottle. Use a hand spray to moisten the glass liberally.

Step 4

Take the "tinting" and in one of its corners carefully remove the protective film by a few centimeters. Spray the place of exfoliation with a shampoo solution. Glue the corner, then carefully remove the protective film, and stick the "tint" to the auto glass.

Step 5

Since the glue is neutralized with shampoo, you have about ten minutes to smooth the film. Then take the sticker and with its working edge (without much pressure) squeeze out the shampoo solution and air bubbles from under the film. Wipe the squeezed out solution with paper towels.

Step 6

Cut the tint film: it should not extend to the edge of the glass by about one to two millimeters. If this is not done, over time, the film will start to peel at the edges of the glass. The end of the "tinting", which will adjoin the rubber lower seal, wind it two to five millimeters under this fixing element.

Step 7

The film dries for about a day: during this time, the glue will solidify reliably.
