Most modern car security systems allow you to guard the doors, hood and interior space, and also notify the owner about the current state of the car and the alarm. For the convenience of using the alarm, reprogramming of its parameters is used, while the setting procedure depends on the specific model of the security device. Let's consider the procedure for reprogramming the alarm using the example of the Cenmax Vigilant security system.

Instructions

Step 1

Read the instructions for controlling the car alarm modes to understand the purpose of the security system control buttons.

Step 2

Disarm the alarm by turning off the ignition with the passenger compartment door open. Press the emergency shutdown button five times. The siren will beep three times.

Step 3

Press the emergency stop button nine times. In this case, a transition to the programming mode of the consoles will occur, accompanied by nine siren signals.

Step 4

Press any button on the transmitter selected for reprogramming. In this case, the siren will sound a signal, which confirms the entry of the code. If you intend to program more than one transmitter, press the button of the second one. The system will answer with two beeps. Up to four transmitters can be stored in the device memory.

Step 5

Perform all actions to reprogram the security system within twenty seconds. After this time, the system will exit the programming mode, which will be indicated by three beeps and the same number of light signals.

Step 6

When making changes to the alarm program, do all the actions within one programming cycle, since when you enter the program mode, the old codes of the transmitters will be deleted from the device memory.

Step 7

After reprogramming the codes, set the current time, year, month and date. To do this, use the simultaneous and consecutive pressing of the buttons that control the setting of the clock. Exit the timer setting mode.

Step 8

Reprogram the alarm. It is set with the same buttons as the timer. When finished, press button 1, then the display will show "Off". Press the same button again to confirm your selection. Exit the alarm setting mode.

Step 9

Reprogram the parking timer if necessary. Make sure it comes on when the system is armed. This will allow you to know exactly when the car was parked, for example, if you use paid parking services.
