A good car needs a quality anti-theft or intrusion protection system. And it is always unpleasant when a car alarm that was working properly before suddenly breaks down. In this situation, there are two ways: go to a specialized workshop for help, or try to identify and fix the malfunction on your own.

Instructions
Step 1
If the alarm installed on the car does not work when it is turned on or off, without responding to the key fob, check the serviceability of the latter. Disassemble the keychain on a clean, level surface to avoid losing small parts. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the fixing screw on the cover and remove it.
Step 2
Replace the battery located under the housing cover. Assemble the device and test it in operation. If the reason was in the battery, the alarm will start working properly again. A low battery is indicated by a decrease in the brightness of the LED and a decrease in the range of the device when controlling the alarm.
Step 3
If the LED is bright enough, but the alarm does not respond to pressing the buttons on the remote control, check the operation of the car alarm unit (AOC) installed in the car.
Step 4
Remove one of the terminals from the battery. After a while, connect it again. This measure often returns the alarm system to a working state. Press the button on the remote control and check the system operation. If the alarm is triggered, secure the terminal securely. Repeat disconnecting the terminal again if necessary.
Step 5
If there is no power in the alarm system, check the condition of the fuse and the condition of the wire coming from the positive terminal of the battery. Replace wire and fuse if necessary.
Step 6
Also check the operation of other electrical devices in the vehicle. If there is a problem in the power supply system, check the fuses one by one and replace them with good ones.
Step 7
Use a tester or a battery-powered flashlight bulb to monitor the power supply. Check the reliability of the contacts in the power supply circuits. Restore broken connections if necessary. Make sure that after the restoration of power circuits, the alarm works properly and “responds” to the key fob.
