An auto-start alarm is very convenient in winter, especially if frosts are frequent in your area. The temperature at which the engine will start is usually set when the system is installed. But if you install the alarm yourself or want to change the temperature, try setting the required parameters as follows (for example, StarLine A91).
Instructions
Step 1
Enter the start-up parameter programming mode and select the temperature option that suits you. For a diesel engine, a temperature of -10 degrees is suitable, for a new gasoline engine (provided that the battery is charged), you can also choose -18 degrees. If you are not sure about your car, you should not set the temperature below 20 degrees - the engine may freeze so that it will not start.
Step 2
If you have a manual transmission, follow the special procedure "Program neutral". Lock the car with the hand brake, then press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds. Turn and remove the ignition key (engine running), exit the vehicle and close the doors. Press the button with the lock again - after 3 seconds the engine will be turned off and the system will enter the security mode.
Step 3
Before turning on autostart, check the health of the temperature start sensor. To do this, double-click on the button with the star icon. If, instead of the clock, a temperature appears on the key fob, everything is in order. The temperature after the trip can be positive - if the sensor is located on the motor. The Lo inscription should alert you, it means either the temperature is below -40 degrees, or there is no sensor.
Step 4
Next, proceed to activate the autostart alarm. Press the asterisk button and hold until the trill is filled with a trill. Without releasing, wait for another sound - an icon in the lower left corner of the screen will blink on the key fob.
Step 5
Move the blinking cursor to the position with the thermometer and press the "Enable" button. If you did everything correctly, you will hear a melodic signal and see an image of the set temperature instead of a clock (when this parameter is changed, a new value should appear).
