To ensure the safety of their cars, many owners rush to install an alarm on their car - the most common security device. However, unpleasant failures often occur in the operation of car alarms.

Step 1
Many car owners are faced with a situation where, for no apparent reason, the burglar alarm installed on the car is triggered. This usually happens in spring or autumn, and this is due to changes in air temperature. The reason for this "behavior" of the alarm lies in the incorrectly configured sensor.
Step 2
First, find the place of attachment of the shock sensor (in the operating instructions for the alarms, it is also referred to as VALET). In most cases, when installing a security alarm on a car, the shock sensor is installed in the cabin under the panel or attached to the floor also under the panel, that is, as a rule, it is hidden.
Step 3
After locating the sensor, locate the adjusting screw on the sensor. Using a suitable screwdriver, rotate this screw and thereby set the required sensitivity of the shock sensor, following the prompts - arrows located on the VALET case, showing which direction you need to turn the screw to increase or decrease the sensitivity.
Step 4
Now put your car on the alarm and wait at least a minute. Then check how the sensor is configured. To do this, simply hit the center of the windshield with your hand. At best, the alarm should only be triggered by a strong enough punch. If you just touched the glass, and the alarm is already "yelling", reduce the sensitivity of the sensor. And if it is not possible to "wake up" the alarm even after several strong blows, the sensitivity must be increased by turning the adjusting screw. After you have set up the security alarm manually, its unreasonable activation should stop.
