Step 1
If your car does not respond to the alarm key fob, try to identify the cause of the failure. Start with the most commonplace, but very common - battery replacement. It is very simple to understand that the battery has run out: an error may appear on the LCD display, which is usually indicated by the corresponding symbol (depending on the alarm model). If the remote control is normal, be guided by the approximate battery life - 6-8 months (depending on the frequency of use).

If the alarm does not respond to either arming or disarming, and the display is on in normal mode, check the radio signal level. In some places - covered parking lots, in the area of large shopping centers and train stations - the signal is weak, and the system unit is simply not able to pick it up. Sometimes it is necessary to make several attempts to arm / disarm for the system to pick up the signal. In very difficult cases, the car will have to be moved to another place. To avoid such situations, move the antenna from the alarm unit as high as possible along the windshield pillar.
Step 3
If the alarm began to work only as a central lock (it only locks and unlocks the doors), while there are no sound signals and the engine is not blocked, then you have put the system in Valet mode. The corresponding symbol will light up on the LCD. To turn off the mode, find a special toggle switch in the car. As a rule, it is hidden under the torpedo, and when setting the alarm, you should have been shown it. Using this toggle switch, according to the instructions, you can put the system into operation.
