Tubeless tires have become increasingly popular lately. This is due to their increased reliability due to the lack of rapid depressurization, which significantly increases traffic safety at high speed. However, at times on the road, a small nuisance in the form of a puncture can happen, so it is very important to know how to repair a damaged tire yourself.

Necessary

  • - soap solution;
  • - marker;
  • - pocket knife;
  • - patch;
  • - hairdryer;
  • - a clean cloth;
  • - glue;
  • - planks;
  • - vice or clamp.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to find the puncture site. To do this without removing the tire, inflate the wheel and spray it with soapy water. Mark the place where the applied composition will start to blow bubbles with a marker.

Step 2

Next, remove the tire by lifting it off the rim. To do this, step evenly and very carefully with your foot on the side of the tire along its circumference, and then remove it with your hands. Rinse the removed tire thoroughly with detergent and dry.

Step 3

Use a pocket knife to remove the piercing object from the tire. Then find the mark that you put on the outside, and circle the puncture site with a circle, draw the same circle inside. Thus, you will designate the place where the patch will be applied later.

Step 4

Take a hair dryer and warm up the damaged area of the tire to completely dry the surface from moisture residues.

Step 5

Soak a clean cloth in Liquid Tire Buffer, and wipe the patch area in cyclic motions until the rubber gradually dissolves and stains the cloth. It is impossible to sand the inner side of the tire so as not to damage it.

Step 6

Now you can go to an area that is half a centimeter wider than the patch. Be sure to let the glue dry well.

Step 7

Remove the protective foil from the patch, so as not to touch the adhesive side with your fingers, and carefully glue it to the puncture site where the adhesive was previously applied. Place the planks on and firmly clamp the joint with a vise or regular clamp for 20 minutes. This is the only way to achieve the desired result.
