The problem with the cold interior of a Chevrolet Lanos car lies in the fact that the design is intended for countries with warm climates. And if the heating system is working properly, there is almost no heat as such. Comparing the characteristics of the radiators of Lanos and Zhiguli, it is clear that this unit is more efficient in the last car. But replacing a radiator on a Chevrolet is an extremely difficult operation associated with the small dimensions of the engine compartment and the ventilation duct.
It is necessary
- - a branch pipe with a corrugated hose;
- - frost-resistant adhesive sealant;
- - heat-insulating material with a foil layer;
- - caps for a / m "gazelle"
Instructions
Step 1
First, make a small hole in the engine shield in the area of the air conditioner plate. In doing so, you will provide hot air access to the passenger compartment. On the cut-out hole, install the branch pipe from the classic VAZ models to the rubber seal. Having screwed it onto the shield, place a thin plate on it, blocking the hole made for summer time. From the side of the motor, put a corrugated hose on the branch pipe and bring it out so that the air intake is carried out directly from the engine itself.
Step 2
Disassemble the decorative grille covering the right outer air intake. Using tape, insulate the compartment containing the heater's internal air intake as tightly as possible. For a more serious improvement, completely shut off the cold air entering the vehicle interior through the air intakes. Also, remove the plastic covers under the windshield wipers and seal the openings under them.
Step 3
Take insulating material and frost-resistant glue. Trying on a sheet of insulation to the inside of the hood, make a pattern for making a homemade insulation for the engine compartment. Cut out a piece of the desired size and shape and glue it to the inside of the bonnet. In this case, pre-clean the place of gluing and treat with a degreasing compound.
Step 4
Install a heat-insulating cardboard shutter between the radiators of the air conditioner and the engine. Purchase or make your own heater for the radiator grill.
Step 5
If you have free time, completely insulate the interior. To do this, disassemble the inner door trim and glue the inside of the door with material. Glue the interior surface of the trunk or only its lids with the same material. After removing the headliner, insulate it. Also insulate the floor in the cabin, arches. Use "gazel" pins for fastening the casing during its installation as more durable and reliable.
