Step 1
Examine the condition of the door seals. They become unusable very quickly, so a gap forms between the doors and the body, through which air quickly leaves the interior. Therefore, it is recommended to change the door seals from time to time. It is best to install seals from Volvo cars. They are broader. This will allow the doors to be hermetically closed, preventing premature cooling of the vehicle. In no case do not use a household seal, as it has completely different qualities.
Step 2
Apply a thermal insulation layer to the inside of the cabinet and doors. It will keep the heat inside the cabin. Insulating sheets are inexpensive. You can find them in almost any auto parts store. To install thermal insulation, you need to remove the door trim, seat trim, torpedo and ceiling and floor trim. Mark the insulation sheets with a marker. Cut them out carefully. Now remove the protective layer. covering the adhesive side, and press firmly against the metal. Roll with a special roller to set the material. Glue the entire interior and reassemble everything in the reverse order. It is also recommended to insulate the car hood from the inside.
Step 3
Install an additional radiator. It will have to additionally warm up the air that passes through the heater radiator. For this purpose, a heating radiator from VAZ 2108-09 cars is quite suitable. An additional radiator must be installed in the throat of the air intake, connecting it with hoses to the heating system. When assembling, carefully monitor the tightness of the structure, otherwise there will be no effect from the innovation. The process is not very complicated. Almost anyone can handle it. It is also worth taking care of a more intensive circulation of the coolant. To do this, install an electric pump that will increase the fluid circulation rate. Use only antifreeze for cooling. And when buying, consult the seller. Depending on the region where the machine is operated, you need to fill in different types of antifreeze.
