The volume sensor is a good addition to the car's security functions. It notifies the owner of the car if the vehicle is entered through the broken glass. After all, the shock sensor does not react to such interference. And the volumetric sensor will not let you come close to the car once again, warning that the car is on guard.

It is necessary

  • Screwdriver;
  • - side cutters;
  • - insulating tape;
  • - double sided tape;
  • - self-tapping screws.

Instructions

Step 1

There are two types of volume sensors - one-zone and two-zone. The single-zone sensor is triggered when entering the passenger compartment. The dual-zone sensor, in addition to the passenger compartment, is triggered when approaching the vehicle. And if, when entering the passenger compartment (for example, through an open glass), the siren starts screaming, then when you are close to the car, a warning signal will simply sound several times.

Step 2

Locate the center of the vehicle to install the sensor. Typically, this is the space between the front seats under the handbrake. Install the sensor in an invisible place and fix it with double-sided tape or screw it onto self-tapping screws.

Step 3

One of the options for connecting the volume sensor is parallel to the shock sensor. There are four wires coming out of both sensors. Connect the red wire to the red one, the black wire to the black one.

Step 4

The other two wires of the volume sensor are the control wires (if the sensor is two-zone). Connect them according to the signaling diagram. If there is no circuit, then it is very easy to understand which wire from which zone will work. Connect one wire and stick your hand through the open window. If the alarm happened and the siren screamed, then you connected everything correctly.

Step 5

Some alarms on the control unit have an additional connector for connecting additional sensors. Connect the volumetric sensor directly to it according to the diagram shown in the installation instructions.

Step 6

If the car does not have any security system at all, connect the volume sensor autonomously. To do this, install a siren in the hood. If you are installing an autonomous siren, then connect the wires from the sensor to it directly.

Step 7

If you are installing a regular siren, then connect a relay that will amplify the signal. Connect the red wire from the sensor to positive, the black wire to ground. Connect the remaining two wires to the relay.
