In hydromechanical transmissions there is a sport mode, a winter mode, an economical driving program, and the ability to change gears manually. Most often, the option of switching to manual driving is called Tiptronic, i.e. when changing gear, push the gear lever forward to select the next gear, or backward to engage the previous one.

If you have a CVT, the vehicle will consume less fuel than other transmissions. The variator gearbox works gradually and independently picks up the moment of switching, while maintaining the speed balance. When using such a gearbox, the car works in the same key, like a trolleybus, however, in the newest mechanisms, this problem is felt much less.

The robotized mechanics on the filling resembles a manual transmission, however, by the nature of the control, it is a pure automatic. This mechanism loyally reacts to a quiet driving mode, however, if you sharply press the gas pedal to the floor, the gear change will become immediately noticeable - you will feel sharp jolts with each speed change. The robotic gearbox consumes less fuel, and the mechanism itself is lighter than in the case of other gearboxes.

The robotic transmission with two clutches is much smoother and more precise than a conventional automatic transmission. However, the cost of such a mechanism is much higher and it is used mainly in sports cars. The clutch pedal is used only at the start, after that there is no need to squeeze it, you just need to change gears. This gearbox is quite noisy and lacks any comfort when shifting.
