State car license plates are the identification marks of the vehicle to which they are attached. They are issued by the traffic police when the car is registered. If the car is purchased in one city, and the car owner lives in another, he is given temporary numbers intended for transporting the vehicle to the desired location. And if by the permanent numbers it is enough to simply determine the region from which the car is driven, then transits do not give such an opportunity.

Instructions

Step 1

State license plates of each of the countries have their own identification symbols, which can be used to determine exactly where the car is registered (country and region) and to whom it belongs (private, commercial person or government agency), but not everyone knows this kind of information.

Step 2

Each state registration plate of a vehicle has a certain set of numbers, letters and other identifying elements in the form of state symbols. The letters in the license plate issued on the territory of the Russian Federation indicate the series, and the numbers, in turn, the serial number.

Step 3

In Ukraine, the combination of the first letters indicates the region of registration of the car, and the second combination of pairs of letters - a series, numbers, in turn, - a serial number. As for Belarus, the region where the vehicle is registered is indicated by the last digit in the license plate.

Step 4

On the right or left side of the license plate (depending on the state), there is often an identifying element of the country (flag or abbreviated name) in which this license plate was registered.

Step 5

So, in order to find out the country in which this or that license plate is registered, and, consequently, the vehicle, it is enough to look at the number of the car or other transport and find there the symbols of the country in the form of a flag or Latin letters indicating this or another state. Among these, for example, RUS (Russia), BY (Belarus), UA (Ukraine), etc.

Step 6

In order to find out the region of a certain country, you should pay attention to the numbers following the letters or a combination of letters indicating the region code (depending on the country where the license plate was registered).

Step 7

So, for example, in the Russian Federation, the Moscow region has the traffic police code of the GAI in the form of numbers 50, 90, 150 and 190, in turn, the numbers registered in Moscow have one of the following code numbers indicating the region: 77, 97, 99, 177.199 or 197. License plates registered in St. Petersburg - identification codes in the form of numbers 78, 98, 178, etc.
