A rear-view camera connected to reverse gear will allow you to see what a regular parking sensor will not notice. You can adjust the height and angle of the image yourself. The camera can see all low curbs and rocks, which means your bumper will be scratch-free.

It is necessary

  • Side cutters
  • Tester or Continuity Tester
  • Drill
  • Screwdriver
  • Insulating tape

Instructions

Step 1

To connect a rear view camera, you need a radio with a built-in monitor, to which the image will be transmitted.

Step 2

There are rear-view cameras: rooms built into the plafond, embedded in the bumper in the form of a peephole, built into a frame.

Step 3

Install the camera in the desired location. There should be 4 wires from the camera (included), one of the wires is double. Connect two wires to the reversing lamp: to ground and 12V power.

Step 4

Pull the rest of the wires to the radio tape recorder - the picture from the camera will be transmitted through them. You can stretch the wires through the entire interior from below by disassembling plastic sills or on top along the edge of the ceiling. To do this, remove the rubber seals from the doors, lay the wires and reinsert the seals into the door.

Step 5

On the radio on the back panel, find the input for connecting a video camera. Connect one double wire.

Step 6

In order for the image from the camera to automatically turn on when the reverse gear is turned on, the radio tape recorder must be connected to the reverse gear wire. To do this, in the car's standard wiring harness, you need to find the wire coming from the gearbox. This can be done using a tester or dialing. Switch on the reverse gear and test on which of the wires + 12V appeared.
