The ability to park quickly and correctly is a real art. Every day the number of cars is growing steadily, so more and more often you have to spend fifteen to twenty minutes looking for a place for a car. The rear-view camera can greatly facilitate the parking process, which will show the driver the situation on the road behind the car. Such an accessory can be installed independently on any machine.
It is necessary
- - Rear View Camera;
- - cables;
- - soldering iron;
- - screwdrivers;
- - scotch tape;
- - drill.
Instructions
Step 1
Switch off the ignition and remove the negative terminal of the storage battery. You will have to connect to the vehicle's on-board power system, so it must be de-energized.
Step 2
Choose a place to install the camera. It is best to attach it over the frame of the state registration plate. You can purchase a new frame with a separate hole for the camera peephole.
Step 3
Install the rear view camera monitor on the dashboard, securing it with self-tapping screws or double-sided tape. If you want to display the image on the built-in screen, then you need to connect the plugs from the camera to the connectors of the on-board computer.
Step 4
Hide the wires under the torpedo. Then carefully lay them under the headliner or center tunnel. Along the entire length, the cable must be fixed with small pieces of tape. Make sure that the cable does not touch any moving parts that can cause mechanical damage.
Step 5
Attach the camera to the rear license plate frame. Drill a hole in the trunk lid for the wiring. Treat the edges of the hole with an anti-corrosion compound. Insert the cable into it and connect the camera.
Step 6
Connect the terminal to the battery and turn on the rear view camera to check its operation and correct connection. Most modern cameras are connected to the on-board power system of the car through the cigarette lighter. If desired, you can connect the power directly to the cigarette lighter wires through a separate fuse. This way you can leave the jack free to connect any other accessory.
Step 7
Adjust the camera and finally clip onto the frame. Then reinstall the trim.
