Step 1
Make sure the clutch cable is the problem and not something else. After that, dismantle the part of the plastic floor that covers the area under the control pedals. This must be done in order to obtain convenient and free access to the clutch pedal-cable connection.
Step 2
First, carefully inspect the entire cable from the passenger compartment to the gearbox or clutch unit. Then locate the cable attachment point on the other side.
Step 3
Now disconnect the clutch cable from the transmission or from the clutch unit and pull it out into the passenger compartment closer to the pedal.
Disconnect the cable from the clutch pedal carefully.
Step 4
Take a new cable (you need to have it in the car just in case, as well as a spare wheel) and connect it to the pedal. Then pull it back to the gearbox or clutch block. Connect the cable to the gearbox or clutch. Then close the hole in the floor.
