The clutch of a GAZelle car is one of the weak nodes that do not differ in reliability and durability. For this reason, it often needs to be changed. Fortunately, replacement can be done without removing the engine. To do this, the GAZelle is installed on a viewing hole, overpass or hung out with a hoist.
It is necessary
- - pit, overpass or lift;
- - a set of wrenches and socket heads;
- - screwdrivers
Instructions
Step 1
To remove the clutch, first disconnect the lever from the transmission. To do this, lift the rubber seal up from the cab, unscrew the cap at the base of the lever and pull the lever up. Disconnect the spring and the parking brake lever cable. Remove the propeller shaft. Disconnect the speedometer cable and reversing light wires from the transmission.
Step 2
Unscrew the fastening bolts of the slave cylinder from the starter, lift the cylinder with the pusher up without disconnecting the hose from it. Remove the clutch fork by unscrewing the bolt on the boot frame. Unscrew the fastening bolts and remove the lower part of the clutch housing. Then remove the bracket that connects the muffler pipes. Disconnect the cross member of the rear support of the power unit from the side member brackets.
Step 3
After unscrewing the nuts on the studs, remove the gearbox along with the clutch and clutch bearing. Remove the gasket between the clutch and transmission housings. Locate the aligned marks on the engine flywheel and clutch pressure plate shroud. If not, apply them yourself. After that, unscrew the bolts securing the clutch cover and flywheel, gradually rotating the crankshaft. Remove the clutch discs from the crankcase through the lower hatch.
Step 4
Remove the clutch hydraulic actuator. To do this, disconnect the hose from the slave cylinder and drain the hydraulic fluid from it. Disconnect and remove the slave cylinder with a pusher. Remove the clutch pedal spring. Disconnect the cylinder tappet and clutch pedal. Remove the two bushings from the pusher lug. Unpin the axles of the clutch and brake pedals and remove, then remove the pedals. Disconnect the hose from the master cylinder, and then remove the cylinder itself.
Step 5
Install the new clutch in the reverse order. Pre-grease the ball bearing of the gearbox input shaft. wipe the flywheel and clutch pressure plate with gasoline. When installing the clutch, its driven disc must face the flywheel with the inscription "Forward". The marks on the clutch cover and flywheel must be aligned.
Step 6
Center the driven disc and crankshaft axle. To do this, install a special mandrel into the spline hole of the driven disk so that the other end of the mandrel enters the flywheel ball bearing hole. If no mandrel is available, use a replacement transmission input shaft.
