Clutch slip is the most common malfunction. The disc requires replacement, but repairs can only be carried out if the transmission is completely removed. There is a lot of work, so it is best to install a new release bearing and basket at the same time.
Necessary
- - a set of keys and screwdrivers;
- - pit, overpass, or lift;
- - capacity 5 l;
- - jack;
- - wheel chocks.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your vehicle for repairs by first placing it on a lift, overpass or pit. Next, disconnect and remove the battery from the engine compartment. Much of what is in the engine compartment will get in the way. Therefore, remove the air purification filter and decorative plastic panel from the block head. Now drain all the oil from the checkpoint so that it does not run away in the future. Disconnect the wire from the air flow sensor, and also unscrew the nut that secures the ground bus to the box.
Step 2
Remove the clutch cable. After that, unscrew the bolts on the starter and remove it. Disconnect the ball joints from the hubs on both sides. Unscrew the nuts on the steering rods; first, you need to remove the pins. Using a crowbar or chisel with a hammer, it is necessary to remove the inner CV joints from the gearbox. First, one grenade is removed, instead of it it is imperative to put a reliable plug that will hold all the differential gears in mesh.
Step 3
Remove the second inner CV JOINT. Carefully move both grenades to the side so that they do not interfere with the removal of the box. It remains to remove the speedometer cable, disconnect the block from the reverse signal switch, and also unscrew the nuts securing the pillows to the checkpoint. After that, it is necessary to unscrew all the bolts that secure the box to the engine block. With the help of a crowbar, you need to move the gearbox away from the engine. This procedure must be carried out with a partner who can insure and prevent the box from falling.
Step 4
Remove the gearbox, being careful not to hit the petals on the clutch basket. The release bearing, which you will find on the input shaft of the box, is subject to replacement. Install a new one right away so that you don't forget to do it later. Now you need to unscrew all six bolts securing the clutch basket to the flywheel. Do it evenly, make 2-3 turns, no more. This will prevent the basket from warping. However, if you are going to install a new one, it does not matter how you unscrew the bolts.
Step 5
Remove the basket and clutch disc, assess their wear, as well as the wear of the flywheel surface. Now proceed with the installation of new parts. Apply the driven disk to the flywheel, put the basket on it, align it with the guides. Install 2-3 bolts so that you can not hold it with your hands. Install the guide shaft and align the discs. The bolts are tightened only after this adjustment has been made, otherwise the gearbox will not be installed. Further assembly is carried out in a strictly reverse order.
