Replacing the clutch disc with friction linings, despite its laboriousness, takes no more than an hour and a half from car service specialists. With an independent replacement of the specified transmission part, the car owner will spend about 4 hours.
It is necessary
- Nut head 13 mm,
- nut head 19 mm,
- a knob with extension inserts,
- primary gearbox roller.
Instructions
Step 1
It is more convenient to work on a lift, but changing the clutch on the inspection pit is not a problem either. At certain stages, an assistant will be required.
Step 2
At the preparatory stage, the following parts and assemblies are dismantled from the machine: a propeller shaft with an intermediate support, a starter, a clutch slave cylinder, a gearshift knob, a rear gearbox support, the speedometer cable and wiring from the reverse gear sensor are disconnected.
Step 3
After completing the above work, the gearbox will be removed together.
The clutch is now fully accessible. To replace it, it is necessary to fix the flywheel from turning, after which, with a 13 mm wrench, six bolts are unscrewed, securing the pressure plate to the flywheel, and the clutch mechanism falls into the hands of the master.
Step 4
To center the driven disc when mounting the clutch, the gearbox input shaft is used, on which a disc with friction linings is put on, the roller is inserted into the crankshaft bearing, and a pressure disc is installed on top.
Step 5
All other steps for the installation of previously removed parts and assemblies are performed in reverse order.
