Replacing the clutch cable on scooters, mopeds and motorcycles is very easy in a matter of minutes. But in the car you have to tinker. This operation is performed when it breaks or stretches, when the clutch can no longer be adjusted with the corresponding nuts.

Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a new clutch cable. Remove the old cable. To do this, lift the hood and find its adjusting nuts. Match the wrenches and completely unscrew the adjusting nuts in order to loosen the cable. The lower end of the cable is attached to the bracket, which is a stop when it is pulled. Release it from this bracket. After that, release the end of the cable, which is attached to the clutch fork in the gearbox, by disconnecting it from it.
Step 2
Move the driver's seat as far back as possible, grab a flashlight and light the place where the cable is attached to the clutch pedal. It is attached to the pedal finger, which is located at the top of the pedal. Remove the cable after removing the retaining clip. If it is worn out or bent, be sure to replace it, otherwise the clutch cable may break off your finger at the most unexpected moment. After the retaining clip is removed, the cable end is effortlessly removed from the pedal finger. Get out of the car, and from the side of the engine compartment, remove the rubber plug through which the cable goes into the passenger compartment. After that, it must be pulled out without effort.
Step 3
Proceed with installing a new cable. To do this, first of all, lubricate the cable lead and pedal finger with Litol-24 grease or another similar one. Install the rubber plug from the engine compartment. Attach the cable to the clutch pedal by sliding it over the pin and securing it with the retaining clip. Fix the cable in the gearbox, having previously installed its sleeve on the bracket. Failure to do so could damage the mounting threads. Using the adjusting nuts, adjust the cable tension until it is coarse. Start the car and experiment with the clutch. Adjust it so that it engages about halfway through the pedal travel.
