Mercedes is a car that has always evoked admiration and respect. Therefore, its repair and operation must be carried out accordingly. Removing the headlights on this car is not particularly difficult, the main thing is to carry out all the work very carefully.

Step 1
Before starting work, remember what type of lamps is installed on your machine. If these are xenon lamps, then be extremely careful and attentive. In this situation, there is a danger due to the presence of high voltage. Wear shoes with rubber soles.
Step 2
In the presence of halogen lamps, replacement is carried out as usual. Raise the hood and lock it in position. Disconnect the negative cable from the storage battery. Remember that before doing this, be sure to turn off the ignition and remove the key from the lock. If necessary, remove the filter box, which is designed to clean the air in the cabin.
Step 3
Remove the mounting bolts next to the headlights. If you have a headlamp washer, then carefully pry off the cover of its mechanism. Do this with a plastic tool or a screwdriver wrapped in a rag. Unscrew the headlight holder at the top and bottom. Remove the vacuum hose that drives the headlight range control unit. Be sure to disconnect all electrical connectors.
Step 4
Grasp the headlamp and carefully pull it forward to remove it. Carry out all the necessary actions with it, for example, replacing the lamps. If there is a need to replace the headlamp lens, carefully remove the seal and disconnect the clips over the entire surface of the headlight. With the lens removed, it is convenient to replace the reflector. When reassembling, be careful that the clamps snap into place until they hear a distinctive sound.
Step 5
Connect the negative wire to the battery terminal and reassemble in reverse order. After that, be sure to check the functionality and make the adjustment. This is necessary in order to set the correct direction of the headlights, which directly affects road safety.
