Therefore, a device is needed that accumulates energy and then gradually releases it. Such a device is a car battery. Only with its help can you get a spark. As soon as the generator has started working, the battery starts charging.
A car battery is not only used to start the engine. There are quite a few devices in a modern car that require electricity. The more modern and comfortable the car is, the more electrical appliances it contains, and in the future their number will grow. Lighting devices, air conditioners and power windows, as well as radio tape recorders, operate from an electric current generator while driving. However, can he always cope with the load? In a normal road situation, of course, must cope. But traffic jams on the highways are becoming more and more, therefore, the car owner often needs an additional source of energy.
Among other things, the battery allows you not to turn off energy-consuming devices when the engine is turned off. For example, you get into a car and turn on the lights. Or you would like to listen to music while waiting for a friend who is just getting ready for a trip. There is no point in keeping the engine running in such a situation, and therefore the generator does not work. Dropping the battery makes it a little more difficult to use the car, because you will have to start the engine to perform almost any action.
The demand for batteries is constantly growing. So far, cars with electric motors are not widespread. However, research, as well as testing, is ongoing. One of the main problems is increasing the capacity of batteries and the ability to quickly charge them. The infrastructure is still underdeveloped, which allows changing the energy storage units at each filling station. In an electric car, almost everything works on batteries. However, the owner of an ordinary car with a gasoline or gas engine can be very helpful if the generator fails. Of course, you won't go very far on it, but getting to the nearest service station is an absolutely real task.
When using a battery, the most important thing is to charge it in a timely manner. You can not let him completely discharge. Otherwise, the energy storage device you need will inevitably lose some of its qualities.
