Buying a car by proxy has now become quite common due to the fact that it is quick and cheap, and also includes the authority to alienate the car and the right to receive cash for its sale. But there are pluses and minuses here, so think carefully before deciding on such a deal.

Step 1
Buying a car through a sale and purchase agreement, a citizen becomes its full-fledged owner, while buying by proxy he will be the owner, but not the owner. These are different legal concepts, because by proxy, a person does not actually buy a car, but only the right to dispose and use it, while the owner's rights remain, as they were, with the seller. And if you do decide to purchase a car by power of attorney, make sure that the deal is legally correct.
Step 2
To draw up the power of attorney itself, prepare the following documents: identity cards, PTS and his registration certificate. When registering, provide documents confirming the owner's ownership of the car, as well as information about transit numbers, if any. The power of attorney becomes invalid if: its validity period has expired, upon cancellation of the power of attorney, after the death of the principal, as well as upon refusal of the person for whom the power of attorney is issued. In order for you in the future to also issue a power of attorney for a car when selling, make sure that the power of attorney issued for you contains the item: "with the right of substitution."
Step 3
Register the purchase of a car by a notary public - this is a mandatory requirement when purchasing it under a general power of attorney. Check that the actual cost is indicated in the deed of transfer of rights to the car. Be sure to include the date and signatures of both parties at the bottom of the document. Pay attention to the fact that the car must be removed from the traffic police register, and a mark about this was put in the TCP.
Step 4
As a new owner, register the car with the traffic police. The owner (the one for whom the actual registration will be) will have to register the car for himself within a month in the MREO. When registering, take the following documents with you: car passport (PTS), civil passport, registration certificate, sales contract, insurance policy and metal numbers of the car. For a technical examination, you will also need to present a medical certificate, license, OSAGO insurance, payment receipts. Therefore, make sure you have them in advance.
