Renault Logan is one of the most popular middle class cars bought in Russia. In its basic configuration, there is no radio tape recorder, however, audio preparation must be carried out.
Instructions
Step 1
Pull out the plug that is installed in the place of the future radio tape recorder. To do this, take two thin screwdrivers, with which pry the latches and pull out the plug. On the back of it, you will find fixed ISO connectors and antennas that you need to work with further.
Step 2
Examine the antenna connector carefully, most likely it is of the so-called "European" type. This means that when connecting a radio tape recorder made in China or Japan, you will have to purchase an antenna adapter called "Europe-Asia". Its cost is low and it is sold everywhere in electronics stores.
Step 3
The ISO connector is designed to supply power, speakers and switching signals to the radio. Examine it carefully. Remember that the top half is needed to connect the speakers, and most likely the wiring is for the front speakers only. The lower part of the connector supplies voltage from the battery, which is necessary to power the device memory, to turn on the radio after ignition.
Step 4
Carefully remember the color and location of the wires used to connect the speakers on the back of the connector, this will come in handy in the future to avoid unnecessary confusion when connecting the speakers to the radio. Inspect the type of speaker connector for which you will find a suitable plug, or construct a homemade adapter.
Step 5
Study the wiring diagram for audio systems in this car. Remember that the standard + 12V to antenna signal is for antennas that automatically extend after the radio is turned on. This type of signal is not required here due to the fact that the standard antenna in Renault Logan does not have the same property as many radio tape recorders.
