Necessary

  • - new headlight glass;
  • - new reflector;
  • - a stand for setting up the light.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash your vehicle headlights thoroughly. A sharp deterioration in light transmission can be caused by dirty headlights. If dirt sticks to the headlights too quickly, then you need to install washers. Visit your nearest auto parts store. There you can find a wide range of different washers. If there are no washers specifically for your model, then you can install them from another model. Please consult your dealer. He will be able to tell you which washers are suitable for your car.

Step 2

Poor light can be caused by cracks in the headlight glass. In this case, you need to replace it with a new one. You only need to buy similar glass. Otherwise, the left and right will be different from each other. Remove the headlamp to replace the glass. Wash it thoroughly. Heat the edgeband gently with a hair dryer to loosen the sealant. Separate the headlamp glass from the body. Remove any remnants of the old sealant. Apply a new coat of sealant to the glass and headlight. Press the glass firmly against the body. Remove excess sealant.

Step 3

If your car has different lamps for low and high beam, then the low beam lamps should be replaced. Instead of the factory ones, you can install halogen ones. Also, xenon shines much better, which is of different types and differs in the degree of brightness. Make the correct low beam setting. Very often, the reason is that the beam of light hits not the road, but into the sky.

Step 4

Replace the reflectors inside the headlights with new ones. Over time, the mirror surface of the parts loses its original appearance and begins to peel off. This negatively affects the brightness of the beating beam of light. For replacement, dismantle the headlamp unit. Disconnect the glass with a hair dryer. Remove the bulb from the socket. Remove the bolts holding the reflector. Remove it carefully from the case and install a new one. Reassemble in reverse order.
