Instructions

Step 1

Park the vehicle on a level surface. Open the hood. Remove the protective cover from the negative terminal. Using a wrench, unscrew the terminal securing nut. Remove the terminal from the storage battery, thereby de-energizing the vehicle's power supply system. This precaution will prevent short circuits.

Step 2

Study the book on the operation of the car Lada Kalina. It describes in detail the procedure for replacing the low and high beam lamps. Remove the headlamp unit from the connector. To do this, find all the screws that secure it to the body. Unscrew them carefully, remembering the location of each of them. Do not mix up the screws when reassembling, otherwise you risk damaging the sockets and threads.

Step 3

Find the back side of the connector. Disconnect it.

Step 4

Pull the headlamp housing out of the connector using light pressure. Wipe down the headlamp as there may be a lot of dust and dirt on the headlamp housing. Find the rubber stopper on the back. Remove it from the hole.

Step 5

Disconnect the terminals from the lamp, noting their location. Next, you need to unfasten the latch. The latch is a small piece of wire that holds the lamp down. Gently slide it down half a centimeter.

Step 6

Pull the old lamp out of the groove. Replace with a new one. Never touch the surface of the new lamp with your bare hands, so as not to leave greasy marks on it! Otherwise, it will burn out the first time you turn it on.

Step 7

If you do touch the lamp with your bare hand, wipe the glass with alcohol. Reassemble the headlamp in reverse order and reinstall it. Check the functionality of the new lamp.
