The adoption of the law on traffic with headlights on at any time of the day aims to reduce the number of road accidents. In a number of European countries, the sale of cars with switched-off dipped headlights is prohibited. But for domestic motorists, such cars often cause a number of inconveniences.
Necessary
- - Programmer for headlight controller or universal dealer scanner Tech2;
- - a set of tools for installing a European light switch.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn off the constant dipped beam function with the controller programmer. To do this, use the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) switch to set any region for which it is allowed to drive with the headlights off.
Step 2
If using the Tech2 universal dealer scanner, connect it to the diagnostic box. Sequentially select: the item "Diagnostics", the year of manufacture of the car, the make of the car, the items: "Body", "the engine compartment center", "programming", "configuration of the program variant", "daytime working lighting" and select the required version of the "Scandinavian package" - No. 5. Follow the same procedure for the rear electrical center. Set the dipped beam switch to the "Dipped beam" position and then to the "Off" position.
Step 3
If the programmer and scanner are not available, or these methods are not suitable for this car model, remove the automatic dipped headlights relay. Install a European light / size switch if necessary.
Step 4
There are several ways to turn off the dipped headlights depending on the car model. For example, you can snack on the corresponding posting. Moreover, you will need to select the wiring by brute-force, while removing the relay or fuse.
