During the operation of the car, the lamps in the instrument panel may fail. If this suddenly happened, do not rush to contact the car service. You can replace the lamps yourself.
It is necessary
- - flat screwdriver;
- - Phillips screwdriver;
- - new lamp.
Instructions
Step 1
Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery and the speedometer cable from the drive on the gearbox.
Step 2
Remove the outdoor light switch by prying it out with a flat screwdriver. Disconnect the connector from the switch and push it inside the dashboard trim. To replace the switch illumination lamp, use a screwdriver to squeeze the tab of the socket and remove the socket from the switch. Pull the lamp out of the socket and replace it with a new one.
Step 3
Use a flat screwdriver to pry the hazard switch and pull it out. Disconnect the connector from the switch. Push it inside the dashboard trim.
Step 4
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two self-tapping screws for the instrument panel console trim and remove the trim. Remove the heating element and ashtray from the socket.
Step 5
Remove the car radio from its socket. Using a screwdriver, use a screwdriver to squeeze the two spring clips securing the flap to the panel overlay and pull the flap towards you. Use a screwdriver to loosen the two plastic tabs of the lower fastening of the dashboard to the dashboard. Raising the shield, squeeze the third spring clip of its fastening.
Step 6
Disconnect the connectors of the cigarette lighter, its illumination and the lamp of the hazard switch. Remove the dashboard panel. To replace the backlight lamp for the hazard warning switch on the inside of the dashboard, remove the bulb holder by turning it in the holder.
Step 7
Squeeze the tendrils of the cartridge holder, remove it from the cigarette lighter to replace its illumination lamp. Squeezing the petals of the cigarette lighter, pull it out, remove it from the instrument panel trim and replace the lamp.
Step 8
Unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the instrument cluster to the panel with a Phillips screwdriver. Move the instrument cluster. Unscrew the union nut of the speedometer cable from the speed sensor (or speedometer reducer), disconnect the cable from the speedometer. Remove it and guide it out through the opening in the front panel.
Step 9
Disconnect the connectors, remove the instrument cluster. To replace bulbs, turn the socket counterclockwise and remove it from the instrument cluster. Install new lamps. Assemble and install the instrument cluster in reverse order. Connect the battery. Check the operation of the lamps in the instrument panel.
