The dashboard is one of the most important parts of the vehicle interior. Over time, it may require repair or replacement. It is useful for every owner of a VAZ 2114 to know how the instrument panel is removed on this car.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the hood and remove the negative terminal from the battery to de-energize the vehicle electrical system. Remove the steering column switches and their adapters. You should also remove all decorative trims and stove control levers. Remove the dashboard panel. Open the center steering wheel cover. Under it, find the nut that secures the steering wheel to the shaft. Unscrew it and remove the steering wheel.
Step 2
Lower the steering column as far as possible. In this case, it is not necessary to disconnect it from the steering shaft gear. Find the two self-tapping screws on the left that secure the dashboard. They are below and above. Unscrew the screws on the right side in the same way. Remove the "ears" that secure the steering column and dashboard. Carefully remove and pull the panel towards you a little. Find all the pads of wires that go to the glove compartment light, buttons on the panel, and other electronics. Disconnect these pads.
Step 3
Pull the dashboard out of the passenger compartment. The easiest way to do this is through the right front door. Remove the air ducts from the back. Now find the screws that hold the pad. Unscrew them. Fold back the three tabs holding the pad. Now it can be removed together with the glove box body.
Step 4
Remove the left and right dashboard cross members together with their brackets. Do not forget to remove the upper storage compartment as well. Unscrew the screws holding the hinges of the drawer lid and remove it. Assemble in the reverse order. After assembly, be sure to check the functionality of the dashboard.
