Lada Kalina is one of the most bought models of the Russian car industry. In its basic configuration, it does not have installed fog lights, so many motorists are thinking about installing them on their own.
It is necessary
spray paint, headlights, power button, lamp connectors, relays, sandpaper
Instructions
Step 1
Decide which fog lights you will later install on your car. Currently, a large number of these devices from various manufacturers have appeared on the market. Purchase directly the headlights themselves, the power button, lamp connectors, relays and a wiring kit for connecting these headlights. If you want, buy a can of paint to paint the headlight housings the same color as your car.
Step 2
Install the relay in its original location in the fuse / relay box. From contact 87 of the relay, lay a wire to the fog lamps with a built-in fuse. The "mass" comes to the 86th connector. Connect the wire from the battery to the 31st clamp, and the control to the 85, which has a power button from the gray wire, which is responsible for turning on the dipped headlights. If you connect to the black and white wire, the fog lights will turn on in conjunction with the side lights.
Step 3
After that, start painting the frames. To do this, use sandpaper to make the surface matte. Degrease it thoroughly and apply two coats of primer. After the soil has dried, paint it, which also means several layers, followed by drying. To fix the result, cover the surface with varnish.
Step 4
Turn the wheels as far as you want, or remove them altogether. After that, disconnect the fender liner and remove the plug from the bumper. Install the fog lamp from the inside and fix it with self-tapping screws, then connect the electrical connector to the lamp. Install the freshly painted frame, then the wheel arch liner and wheels. Be sure to check the functionality of the installed lighting fixtures and adjust them. You can do this yourself or at service centers.
