It is necessary

  • - Screwdriver Set;
  • - colored nail polish;
  • - solvent;
  • - rags.

Instructions

Step 1

It happens that the driver has become annoyed by the color of the instrument illumination on the car control panel. This problem can be quickly resolved on your own. With minimal cost, you can change the color of the lights and provide a comfortable driving environment.

Step 2

Use a screwdriver to remove the dashboard from the vehicle. For instructions on how to remove the dashboard, see the literature that came with your vehicle.

Step 3

Disassemble the dashboard. This is quite simple to do, since in most modern cars, the parts in it are attached to each other with latches. Be extremely careful, because broken parts will lead you to buy a new panel.

Step 4

Remove the gauges and indicators from the panel. They can be fastened with screws, in which case you need a suitable screwdriver. Also, the attachment can be carried out on the "antennae". In this case, you need to unbend them and carefully remove the devices from the panel. After removing the devices, the backlight lamps will open for you.

Step 5

If the backlight lamps are already painted in the color you are tired of, then apply the solvent to a rag and wipe off the coating from the lamps. If the lamps are not painted, then degrease them in the same way with a cloth soaked in solvent.

Step 6

Gently apply varnish to the cleaned and degreased indicator lights. Apply colored varnish in an even thin layer so that the lamps have enough power to illuminate the devices. If you don't like the color or the varnish layer is too thick, you can always wipe it off with rags and thinner and repaint the lamps.

Step 7

Assemble the dashboard in the reverse order of disassembly. Replace the panel. The work is done.
