With the beginning of the spring-summer season, many are rolling out scooters or motorcycles from garages, which can become easy money for car thieves. For serious protection, it is better to put an alarm on the bike, which works on the principle of an automobile, but taking into account the specifics of two-wheeled vehicles.
It is necessary
Phillips screwdriver, side cutters, electrical tape
Instructions
Step 1
To install an alarm on a scooter, choose those that are specifically designed for motorcycles, scooters and snowmobiles (StarLine Twage V5, Centurion Bike, Viper200). Such alarms are triggered on impact, have a motion sensor and tilt level changes, engine blocking. Choose your alarm with feedback and lcd display. These alarms send the alarm signal to the alarm panel and you can see exactly what is happening with your scooter or motorcycle.
Step 2
Now, they began to steal motor vehicles with any level of protection. The hijackers simply drive a large car, such as a Gazelle, to the motorcycle and roll the motorcycle into the back of the board. Such actions take no more than a minute. Therefore, even with the most sophisticated alarm system, do not leave the scooter on the street unattended. And at night, put it in a garage or in a guarded parking lot. If the scooter is on the street during the day, fasten it with a special lock to a tree or post.
Step 3
Find a place to install the alarm unit and siren. The unit can be hidden under the seat or under the front fender.
Step 4
Connect the alarm wires to the standard harness according to the attached diagram. On the harness, power is taken, starter or ignition blocking, turn signals or parking lights are connected. The turn signals are taken from the switch button or from the lights. The wires are connected by soldering, twisting or shrinking. The wires from the alarm are screwed to the standard wiring using electrical tape.
Step 5
In addition to the alarm, you can install mechanical locks on the steering. Such locks are also produced specifically for motor vehicles.
