Xenon lamps are classified into several types. When choosing xenon, first of all, you should decide on the purpose of its use, and then only compare the products offered by modern manufacturers. Try to answer the question if you need xenon to improve lighting at night and in certain weather conditions, or if you are planning to simply change the color of your car's headlights.

If you are worried about insufficient road lighting during bad weather conditions, then the best option for xenon would be lamps with a temperature glow of less than 5000 K. Varieties with higher indicators in rainy and foggy weather do not give the expected effect, on the contrary, worsening visibility and creating the so-called effect walls.
Step 2
If you are interested in the shade of xenon, then special attention should also be paid to the temperature glow indicator. Xenon lamps with a color temperature of up to 4300 K will glow yellow, from 4300 K to 5000 K this hue almost completely disappears.
Step 3
Xenon from 5000 K to 5500 K shines white, and from 6000 K a bluish tint appears. Please note that lamps with a maximum glow temperature are several times worse at handling road illumination in bad weather conditions than xenon with minimum indicators.
Step 4
To make replacing your headlights less time consuming and costly, try to pinpoint the type of headlight socket in your vehicle. If you do not have sufficient knowledge or doubt, then it is better to seek help from specialists. In this case, it is enough to provide the seller or car service worker with a regular lamp that you plan to replace. One of the most popular xenon headlights is H4.
Step 5
An equally important point is the correct choice of the type of xenon lamps. If your vehicle was fitted with single filament bulbs as standard, you can install the xenon version. If there are two filaments, then the best option would be to install a bixenon (a special mechanism that allows you to change the location of the lamps in relation to the reflectors of the headlights).
