The procedure for changing the oil in the engine of a particular car model is absolutely identical. Before changing the oil, you must purchase a lubricant that fully meets the requirements of the car manufacturer and the region of operation.
Before changing the oil, it is necessary to warm up the engine to operating temperature. After that, in order not to burn yourself with the drained oil, you need to wait a couple of minutes and choose the most convenient container to place the mining in it. The best solution is to use an old plastic canister with the side cap cut off.
Next, the driver needs to unscrew the sump plug. Initially, the plug is unscrewed with a wrench, however, a little later you should unscrew the plug by hand, having previously prepared the container for working off. The time for draining the oil takes no more than 5 minutes. As a rule, with the traditional method of changing the oil, a minimum of old lubricant will remain in the engine.
On a note! When draining old oil, pay attention to the color and the presence of impurities. Thanks to this, it will be possible to establish whether it is necessary to flush the engine or not.
After draining the old oil, replace the oil filter with a new one. Some experts argue that when installing a new filter element, it is necessary to pour a drop of oil into it and lubricate the landing gum with oil for better clamping.
After installing the filter, you need to wrap the sump plug and fill in new oil, guided by the oil dipstick. Next, you need to visually make sure that there are no smudges, start the engine and warm up to operating temperature.
