Step 1
There are a number of factors that reduce the range of an alarm. These include houses, trees, a car in a garage, or a shell. And if it is in an underground parking lot, there may be no signal at all. And in this case, you can only disarm the car using the Valet emergency shutdown button. This is facilitated by extraneous radio signals and obstacles. The higher you are, the greater the range of the key fob. For example, if you live on the 10th floor, the alarm coverage will be wider than on the second floor due to the lack of direct interference. Even if the signal radius is initially small, it can increase if the signal is reflected by the surface of the water (river, lake) or ice.

The range of the key fob can be increased without serious intervention in the system. Start with the receiving antenna, which is located in the vehicle interior. If the alarm is without feedback, a block is hidden under the dashboard. A small wire 10 cm long comes out from it - this is the antenna. Extend the antenna with another wire 1-1.5 m long. Disassemble the stand (you can use any one) and hide the antenna in it.

If the alarm is with feedback, the antenna will be located on the windshield and not under the torpedo. But it must be glued in such a way that there is a distance of at least 5 cm between the antenna and the metal surfaces. The signal level is also greatly reduced if the antenna is glued on a metallized tinting film or factory metallized spraying.

In order to always have a good connection with the car, install an alarm with a GSM module. Such security systems are controlled by commands from a mobile phone. Accordingly, the signal reception area will be where there is cellular network coverage. All processes that occur with the car when you are not around will be transmitted to your phone in the form of calls or sms messages.
