The clutch system of a car is one of the most vulnerable parts of a transmission; parts wear out especially quickly when used in urban conditions. Many Russian and foreign manufacturers offer their kits for VAZ, and choosing the best option is not easy at all.

Indirect signs of failure of this element are jerks, jerking of the car when switching speeds, squeaks and extraneous noise in the area of the gearbox. VAZinterservice is a relatively young company (founded in 1991), a subsidiary of the Volga auto giant. It is this company that supplies clutch discs (and not only) to the VAZ assembly line. The general clutch system is the development of employees of the Togliatti plant, but most of the components are purchased from Western companies. Since 2012, VIS has organized a joint production with the Japanese company EXEDY. All this made it possible to bring the products to a high level - the VIS clutch is most popular with VAZ owners of various modifications.
Clutch from Germany - LUK
This German company has almost half a century of history. Every second car leaving the assembly line in Germany has a LUK clutch. A distinctive feature of this product is the presence of a torsional vibration damper (both in the driven and in the pressure plate), which reduces the vibration level, increasing the ride comfort. Reviews of Russian car owners are only positive. The cost is slightly higher than the price of the VIS clutch.
SASH clutch plates
The company has been producing transmission parts since the 30s of the last century. The number of sets produced per year exceeds 150 million. The peculiarity of the disks is that they do not have asbestos pads, which eliminates the need for any maintenance, starting from the moment of installation. The SASH clutch easily copes with high loads, which is important for cars constantly running in the city. The only drawback of the product is its high cost.
Clutch from KRAFT
The company produces industrial goods, incl. and car parts. The company has its own certified laboratory where the products are controlled. There are both positive and negative reviews about the clutch. Complaints are mainly caused by the release bearing. As for the clutch discs, motorists note the soft clutch release and the ability to work well in overheating conditions. The cost of the KRAFT clutch is slightly higher than that of Russian manufacturers, but lower than that of European ones.
