High and low beam lamps, turn signals in Ford Focus are built into the headlight unit. Therefore, replacing a light bulb here without removing the headlight is not possible. Well, or at least it's inconvenient. In order to change the light bulb, you first need to remove the outer glass, which is a simple operation, then get to the lamp, remove it and replace it with a new, serviceable one. It must be remembered that when replacing a light bulb, in no case should you hold onto the base - this is prohibited for safety reasons.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to open the hood of your car. Use a screwdriver or a special wrench to unscrew the self-tapping screw that secures the headlight unit to the top of the engine compartment. The headlamp is attached to the bottom of the compartment with two clips that can be easily squeezed out.
Step 2
To facilitate further replacement, move the headlamp unit a short distance from the car body, and then easily disconnect the wiring block by pressing the latch. Everything, the headlight unit is completely at your disposal.
Step 3
To replace the turn signal, turn the protective cover fully counterclockwise and remove it. Remove the bulb with socket, then unscrew it clockwise from the socket.
Step 4
To replace the low and high beam lamps, remove the protective caps from them. Press down on the clips of the wire block and remove them. Then remove the lamps, holding them by the contacts, and insert new ones.
Step 5
Remove the protective cover to replace the side light bulbs. Unscrew the socket with the lamp counterclockwise, holding on to the "tongue", and remove it from the headlamp unit. Remove the lamp by holding the bulb and insert a new one.
Step 6
Assembling the headlight and installing it in its original place after installing new lamps is carried out in the reverse order. If you have a spare lamp and good dexterity, replacing any of the lamps in the Ford Focus takes about 10-15 minutes.
