Lada Kalina cars are equipped with block headlights that combine low and high beam, as well as direction indicators. The high beam is switched on with the headlight switch, and the low beam is switched on with the outdoor light switch. Regardless of the position of the outdoor light switch, the main beam can be turned on briefly by pushing the headlight switch lever towards you. The lamps installed at the factory in this vehicle often fail, so they have to be replaced.
Instructions
Step 1
Before any replacement of light bulbs in the car, be sure to disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the storage battery. This must be done for your safety.
Step 2
To replace the high beam or low beam bulbs, remove the rubber headlight cover, then carefully remove the connector with wires and disconnect it from the lamp terminals. Disengage the lamp clip from the hooks and remove it.
Step 3
Replace the lamp and reassemble in reverse order. Do not touch the lamp bulb with your fingers, this can lead to its rapid failure. Take the lamp with clean gloves and remove all stains with rubbing alcohol.
Step 4
Replacing the side light in the headlamp is similar to the previous operation. Also remove the rubber cover of the headlights and remove the socket that contains the lamp. Remove the lamp from the socket and install a new one.
Step 5
To replace any lamp in the rear light, first remove the light from the vehicle. To do this, drive off the luggage compartment trim, which is located behind the taillights. Squeeze the clips and remove the wiring block, unscrew the three nuts on which the lantern is attached and remove it from the car.
Step 6
With the flashlight in hand, unscrew the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it. Also, counterclockwise, the lamp is removed directly from the holder. Insert a new lamp and assemble the lamp in reverse order.
