For the correct operation of car units, constant care is required. One of the main points of the engine's operation is to supply fuel to it through the gasoline filter, which should be changed every 15,000-30,000 kilometers of the vehicle's mileage.
It is necessary
- - open-end wrenches for 10, 17, 19
- - new fuel filter
- - observation hole or lift
- - an empty container with a volume of at least 0.5 liters
Instructions
Step 1
Disconnect the vehicle battery from earth, thereby completely de-energizing it.
Step 2
Take the keys for 17 or 19, hold the filter, and with a key for 10 unscrew the union that supplies fuel to it.
Be careful when unscrewing the fittings. Gasoline can splash and get into the eyes due to overpressure. Replace the fuel filter clamp with a new one if necessary.
Step 3
Drain the remaining fuel from the union and the fuel filter into an empty container. Unscrew the fitting on the other side of the filter. Drain the remaining fuel into a container again. Loosen the filter clamp and remove it.
Step 4
Install a new filter, making sure it is connected correctly. The arrow on the filter indicates the direction of fuel movement in it (from the gas tank to the engine).
Step 5
Secure the filter with a hose clamp. Screw first one, then the other fitting to the filter.
Step 6
Wait until the fuel pump has completely pumped gasoline into the filter before starting the engine for the first time. Then start the engine.
